So my favorite doughnut in the world is an unfilled chocolate long john.

The problem is, almost no one makes them. They always muck them up by adding jelly or filling. So, let's say one day I am walking through the grocery store and I see one. The amazingly hard to find unfilled chocolate long john. The unfortunate thing is, I am currently on a healthy eating kick. I have made a pact to eat no junk food. But can I really pass up the rare unfilled chocolate long john. I submit that I cannot.

This perfectly relates to the time I promised my family I would take a 1 year hiatus from dating. I swore off boys. I would spend the year being me, single. But then I ran into him....the rare unfilled chocolate long john. And really, how could I pass it up?

And in the end, that chocolate long john was not the chocolate long john for me. But the three years I kept him in my own personal bakery case were some of the best of my life. Just imagine if I would have stuck to my diet!
